Every night, when concerts let out at San Siro or the last flight lands at Linate, I see the same scene: groups of 3-4 people step out, look at the taxi, do the math, and head back to the metro.

I got tired of watching half-empty taxis and people giving up a service I'd always thought of as accessible.

It wasn't a driver problem, and it wasn't a passenger problem. It was a coordination problem: someone had to bring people together and split the bill.

In 2024 I started building Sciame, with the support of Point incubator.

Simple goal: move together, save together, and give my fellow drivers more rides without commissions.

When the group is set, the app generates a Sciame Card: a single-use virtual card (via Apple Pay or Google Pay) issued to the group. Any member taps it on the driver's contactless POS to pay the full amount. Sciame then automatically charges each passenger their share. No cash, no end-of-ride arguments.

You pay your share of the ride plus a 5% service fee (minimum €0.50 per user). Example: a €100 ride split four ways = €25 each + €1.25 fee = €26.25 total. With Pollen Rewards you can even waive that 5%.

No. Sciame complies with Italian Law 21/92 and doesn't touch the fare: the driver earns 100% of the meter, exactly like a normal ride. Ours is a fintech model, not a transport one — the commission is paid only by you, to the app, and takes nothing from the driver. Nothing to install on their contactless POS.

Yes. Sciame only uses licensed official taxis, professional drivers and tracked vehicles. App users are verified at sign-up, payments are tracked, and after every ride you can leave feedback on the other members.
